Austrian Prepaid Card
The European Union has used its legislative powers to establish rights for flight
passengers, providing for compensation payments in certain circumstances.
To bring about a more customer-friendly and logistically straightforward solution for the
passenger, the Austrian Airlines Group has dispensed with conventional cash payouts in favour of
the Austrian Prepaid Card.
This card allows passengers to withdraw the due amount of compensation from ATM machines in
cash; it may also be used to make direct payments in shops and other outlets.
